Example: Legion Workforce Engagement App
Overview
On iOS devices (iPhone and iPad), there is no direct option to clear an app’s cache like on Android. However, cached data can still be cleared using supported iOS methods. This article outlines the recommended ways to refresh the Legion Workforce Engagement app on iOS.
When to Use This
Follow these steps if you experience:
App not reflecting recent changes
Permissions or data not updating
UI inconsistencies
App stuck on old data
Unexpected behavior after configuration changes
Method 1: Offload the App (Recommended)
This method clears cached data without deleting the app’s documents or data.
Steps:
Open Settings on the iPhone/iPad
Navigate to General
Tap iPhone Storage or iPad Storage
Scroll and select Legion
Tap Offload App
Confirm the action
Once completed, tap Reinstall App
Result:
App cache is cleared
App is refreshed
User data and documents remain intact
✅ This is the preferred first step for troubleshooting.
Method 2: Delete and Reinstall the App (Full Reset)
Use this if offloading does not resolve the issue.
Steps:
Long-press the Legion app icon
Tap Remove App
Select Delete App or follow same process as above via settings and tap Delete App
Open the App Store
Search for Legion Workforce Engagement
Reinstall the app
Log in again
Result:
All cached and local app data is removed
Fresh app installation
⚠️ Users will need to sign in again after reinstalling.
Method 3: Restart the Device
Restarting clears temporary system cache that may affect app behavior.
Steps:
Power off the device
Wait 20–30 seconds
Power it back on
Open the Legion app and retry
Recommendation
Start with Method 1: Offload App
If the issue persists, proceed with Method 2: Delete & Reinstall
Restart the device if issues appear intermittent
Additional Notes
iOS does not support manual cache clearing per app
These steps apply to all iOS versions
Behavior may vary slightly based on iOS version
